I am a post-doctoral researcher at UCLA working with Prof. Marc Suchard on analysis of large scale biomedical and healthcare data sets. I completed my PhD in applied mathematics and statistics at Duke University, working with Prof. David Dunson.
I have broad interests in use of mathematical and statistical models to solve and / or provide better understanding of scientific, social, and industrial problems. My expertise includes probabilistic / Bayesian inference, statistical computation (esp. Monte Carlo methods), and (stochastic) dynamical systems.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, tango dancing, seeking out great food, taking photos, and playing tennis, among many other things (which I often don’t have time for).
